Responding for Life

During a 9/11 fundraiser, Chief Greg Bailey found himself fighting for his own life. Thanks to the trained volunteers around him, he survived. And thanks to the coverage provided by Glatfelter's VFIS program, he was able to focus on his physical recovery — not his financial one.

VFIS has been serving firefighters, EMTs, ambulance personnel and other first responders for over fifty years. And we're still responding—with specialized coverages, training and risk management services that meet the unique needs of fire departments, emergency service organizations and commercial ambulatory services. We are staffed with many active and past first responders, enabling us to truly understand the needs of emergency personnel as we serve alongside them every day.

The town of Benson, NC is no stranger to the destructive side of Mother Nature — it's survived 7 FEMA-declared natural disasters in the past two decades. Recovery in Action

In the middle of a cold, February night, a pipe burst flooding Hospice & Community Care's facility, forcing patient evacuations. From responding to the claim to working with contractors during the recovery, Glatfelter Healthcare helped ensure that patient care was never jeopardized.

Glatfelter Healthcare serves as a source of confidence for more than 3,700 hospices, home healthcare agencies and senior living facilities across the United States. Our beginnings are closely linked with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Association, and our team is comprised of several healthcare professionals and veteran caretakers.

Building Bridges

Unfamiliar with U.S. customs and the English language, Alexis and his family needed to quickly adapt in order to navigate their new homeland after living in a refugee camp for nearly a decade.
