A Tradition of Service, Founded on Trust

  • Community-Minded Insurance

What makes Glatfelter so unique? It’s our commitment to community. Our founder, Art Glatfelter, was a leader and well-known philanthropist in the local York, PA, community. He became a prominent force within the firefighting community by not only providing insurance coverage but was instrumental in establishing the Congressional Fire Services Caucus in 1986. Glatfelter was also the founding director of the Congressional Fire Services Institute.

Glatfelter has a long-standing commitment to supporting area activities that help make the community a better place to live, learn and grow. Art Glatfelter founded the Cultural Alliance of York County as well as the United Way Tocqueville Society and contributed to many other local organizations.

Today, Glatfelter continues to maintain a strong commitment to strengthening our communities. Our culture of service and our desire to make a meaningful social impact is at the heart of all our community involvement initiatives.

Our approach is Community-Minded.
